This class starts out with Savasana/relaxation. We continue with upper body stretches, some exercises to release tension in the neck and shoulders, and an Inclined Plane to energize and release tension in the lower back. We continue with Cat & Cow, Frog, Seal, and Downward Facing Dog, and work our way up to Tadasana/Mountain Pose via a standing forward bend. 6 rounds of Sun Salutations/Surya Namaskar to warm up the body, and 2 more rounds with variations.
We then continue with Windmill (rotating the arms, an exercise I learned during my Aïkido days). Then Triangle, Warrior and variations, Toes and Ankle Stretch, and some core exercises in Plank. Then Happy Baby pose, and Spinal Twists, Shoulderstand, Half Plough and Full Plough, Seated Forward Bend, Butterfly, Sphinx, Seal, and Bow. Deer and seated spinal twist, Downward Dog with Leg extensions. We finish with a final relaxation.
